Can You Have Two Quora Accounts? What Quora's Help Center and Policies Say
Can you have more than one Quora account?
Quora's Help Center gives two answers that fit together once you read both. An article about accidentally created accounts says "it is Quora policy that you can only have one account", so extras should be deleted, and it adds that accounts cannot be merged. Platform Policies, the newer and more detailed page, bans creating multiple accounts to break the rules, fake engagement, file targeted reports or get around enforcement, and it allows an account for a legally incorporated business or organisation.
So one account per person is the baseline Quora states, and extra accounts are never a route to anything the rules forbid. The second-account article carries a 2021 date in the Help Center data, while Platform Policies show an edit date of November 2025. Quora says it may change its policies by posting an updated version, so read the live pages before you rely on this summary (read 3 October 2026).
What do Quora's pages say about extra accounts?
| Topic | What the page says | Page, as dated in the Help Center |
|---|---|---|
| Number of accounts | One account is policy; extras should be deleted; two accounts cannot be merged | Second-account article, May 2021 |
| Accounts made to break the rules | Not allowed: creating multiple accounts with the intention of violating Quora's policies | Platform Policies, November 2025 |
| Engagement | Not permitted: using multiple accounts to fake or manipulate engagement | Platform Policies |
| Reporting | Not permitted: using multiple accounts for targeted user or content reporting | Platform Policies |
| Enforcement | Not permitted: using multiple accounts to get around enforcement actions. The ban article also lists using multiple accounts to get around moderation | Platform Policies; ban article, May 2025 |
| Company or organisation | You may create an account for a legally incorporated business or other organisation, you are not required to, and Quora may ask a company account to verify | Platform Policies |
What else counts against you when several accounts are involved?
| Behaviour | What Quora's pages say |
|---|---|
| Impersonation | Do not impersonate another person or act as another entity without authorisation. The Spaces Policies add that falsely posing as a brand is prohibited |
| Coordinated inauthentic activity | Listed as spam, with vote manipulation as the example; the ban article also names being linked to suspicious activity |
| Trading in engagement | Promoting products or services that inflate engagement metrics, such as accounts, followers, likes or reviews offered for sale, is listed as spam |
| Reaching someone who blocked you | The harassment policy gives repeatedly messaging or engaging with someone after being blocked as an example |
| Repeating yourself | Posting the same content, or sending the same messages, repeatedly is listed as spam |
| Hidden affiliation | The answer policies ask you to disclose relevant affiliations in the answer or the credential, and they do not allow affiliate links |
What happens when a rule is broken?
| Step | What Quora says |
|---|---|
| Enforcement tools | Written warnings, content removal, warning tags, and limiting or ending a user's access |
| Usual path | Content warnings, a temporary edit-block or both before a ban; severe violations of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy can mean an immediate ban |
| Who decides | Quora states it has the sole authority and final decision on whether content or behaviour breaks the policies |
| Appeal, content | Click Appeal on the Quora Moderation notice, or the Appeal link under a collapsed answer |
| Appeal, other decisions | Contact Us, then I want to appeal a moderation decision |
| Appeal, a ban made in error | The contact form linked from the ban article |
| Flagged profile name | quora.com/contact, the appeal option, then Flagged Name as the reason |
What if you accidentally ended up with a second account?
- Decide which account stays. The Help Center article says the additional accounts need to be deleted.
- Move content by hand. Answers and posts from the secondary account must be re-added to the primary one. When an account is deleted, its content is permanently lost.
- Delete the extra account from its own privacy settings. Choose Delete Account and confirm with the password. If that account was created through Google or Facebook, first set a password with the Change Password link near the top of the page.
- Know the 14-day rule. The account is deactivated at once and deletion begins. Signing in during the next 14 days reactivates it and cancels the deletion. After the grace period the content and profile are permanently deleted, and the Help Center says deletion is not reversible.
- Consider deactivation instead. Under Settings, on the Privacy tab, Deactivate Account stops emails and notifications while your content stays on the site. Signing in again reactivates the account.
- Ask Quora if you are stuck. Use Contact Us and choose I need help with my account.
How do you stay inside the rules?
- Keep to one account per person unless Quora provides a route, such as a company account or a Business Profile run by named admins.
- Never use one account to vote on, reply to or report the content of another account you control.
- Do not contact someone who has blocked you from another account.
- Say who you work for when it is relevant, in the answer or the credential, and keep promotion inside a direct, helpful answer.
- If you run accounts you are authorised to manage, keep each in its own browser profile so that you always know which account you are acting as; see what a browser profile is.
- Treat a warning, an edit-block or a ban as something to appeal, not to work around.
- Re-read Platform Policies and the Terms of Service before large changes.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED does not change what Quora allows and cannot make an extra account acceptable. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you own or are authorised to manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Quora.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have two Quora accounts?
An older Help Center article says one account is Quora's policy and that extras should be deleted. Platform Policies forbid creating multiple accounts to violate Quora's policies, and they allow an account representing a legally incorporated business or organisation.
Why was my Quora account banned?
Quora's ban article lists repeated or irrelevant promotional posting, coordinated inauthentic activity such as vote manipulation, harassment, repeated violations after a warning or edit-block, deceptive links, and using multiple accounts to get around moderation. Severe violations can lead to an immediate ban.
How do I recover a banned Quora account?
The Help Center says that if you believe an account was banned in error you may appeal by filling in the contact form linked from the ban article. Using another account to get around enforcement is not permitted, so wait for the appeal instead of registering again.
Can I merge two Quora accounts?
No. The Help Center says it is not possible to merge multiple Quora accounts. You re-add answers and posts from the secondary account to the primary one by hand, and the content of a deleted account is permanently lost, so move what you want first.
How do I delete a Quora account?
Open the account's privacy settings and choose Delete Account. Quora asks for the password, and an account created through Google or Facebook first needs a password set from the Change Password link. Signing in during the next 14 days reactivates the account and cancels the deletion.
Can a company have its own Quora account?
Yes. Platform Policies say you may create an account to represent a legally incorporated business or other organisation, though you are not required to. Quora may ask a company account to verify its identity, and the policies point to the Business Profile article for how to create one.
