How to Keep Several TikTok Accounts Apart on One PC with Separate Browser Profiles
How do separate browser profiles keep TikTok accounts apart?
Give each TikTok account its own browser profile. TikTok's Cookies Policy (updated 4 November 2024, read 3 October 2026) says some of its cookies are what let the site remember that you are logged in. Chrome Help says each profile keeps its own bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings, and Chromium's documentation says a profile's folder holds data like history, bookmarks and cookies.
So a browser profile is where TikTok's login cookies live, and one profile per account means one login per profile. Two accounts can then be open in two windows at the same time without one replacing the other. For the general idea, see what a browser profile is.
What a profile separates, and what it does not
| Item | Separate in each profile? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies and the TikTok login they hold | Yes | Each profile has its own folder |
| Bookmarks, history, saved passwords, settings | Yes | Chrome Help lists these |
| Your computer and operating system | No | Every profile runs on the same machine |
| Your internet connection and IP address | No | A profile is saved data, not a network setting |
| TikTok's own account settings and device list | Not a browser matter | They belong to the account and are reviewed in the app |
The point of the third and fourth rows: a profile keeps your data apart, not the machine or the connection. For the network side, see proxy types explained.
Set it up with Chrome, step by step
- Click the profile icon at the top right of Chrome and choose Add Chrome profile.
- Give it a name and colour that identify the account (see the naming table below). Signing in with a Google Account is optional, according to Chrome Help, which adds that signing in lets you sync bookmarks, passwords and settings across your devices.
- In that profile, open tiktok.com and sign in with that one account only. TikTok Studio at tiktok.com/tiktokstudio belongs in the same profile.
- Repeat for every other account, one profile each.
- Switch from the profile icon. To rename or remove a profile, use Manage Chrome profiles. Chrome Help says that removing a profile wipes that profile's saved data from the computer.
Firefox users can use Containers. Mozilla's documentation says they isolate cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB, HTTP cache and image cache. History and bookmarks stay shared, and saved passwords are intentionally not isolated, so do not rely on a saved password to tell accounts apart.
A quick check before each session
- Make sure the profile's name and colour match the account you mean to use.
- After signing in, confirm that TikTok shows that account's name.
- Keep the Security Checkup items in TikTok's app current for each account: a backup phone number and email, 2-Step Verification and the Manage devices list (TikTok's newsroom, 17 March 2025).
- Do not clear cookies for tiktok.com in that profile unless you mean to sign out.
- Close profiles you are not using.
Naming, hand-over and backups
Naming. Put the thing you would search for first.
| Part | Example | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | TT | Separates TikTok profiles from other platforms |
| Brand or client | Acme | The most common thing you look for |
| Region or purpose | Retail | Tells similar accounts apart |
| Owner | Mai | Shows who is responsible |
A profile named "TT Acme Retail Mai" is hard to open by mistake. Give each profile a different colour too.
Hand-over. Do not pass a signed-in profile to someone as a way of sharing an account. TikTok's U.S. Terms say you may not let others use your account, or hand it over, unless TikTok permits it. For brand and team accounts use Business Center permissions and Organization Accounts. TikTok says a removed Business Center member loses access to the accounts assigned there, and a removed Organization Account member is logged out immediately. If a person did use your own account on a computer, open Manage devices in TikTok's Security Checkup and remove the device you no longer use.
Backups. Chromium's documentation gives the Windows default as %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data, with each profile in a subfolder. Because TikTok says cookies remember your login status, a copy of a profile folder can carry a signed-in session. Keep any backup as private as a password, and remember that removing a profile erases its data from the computer.
When you outgrow separate profiles
Ordinary profiles work well for a handful of accounts. Signs that you are outgrowing them: you can no longer tell windows apart, you need a different network setting for each account, you open and close dozens of profiles every day, or several people need a clean hand-over. At that point a profile manager saves time, and Android phone profiles cover mobile-only apps. See installing ADSSPEED on Windows for the first run.
What if it fails?
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok signs you out in one profile | Cookies were cleared, or the browser clears them on exit | Check the profile's cookie settings and sign in again |
| TikTok asks for a code after you create a new profile | TikTok recommends 2-Step Verification for logins from an unfamiliar device and may ask you to verify | Complete the check with your own phone or email; see why TikTok asks to verify |
| You posted from the wrong account | Profiles looked alike | Add the account name and a colour to every profile |
| A profile was removed by mistake | Chrome Help says removing a profile erases its data from the computer | Restore from your backup, or sign in again |
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Every profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. A proxy can be set per profile or assigned to many profiles in bulk, profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles each have their own device configuration, for mobile apps on a PC. Use it only with accounts you own or are authorised to manage. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with TikTok.
Frequently asked questions
How do I open multiple TikTok accounts on PC at the same time?
Create a separate browser profile for each account, open tiktok.com in each one, and sign in with that account only. In Chrome, use the profile icon at the top right and choose Add Chrome profile. Each profile then keeps its own cookies and login.
Why does TikTok keep logging me out in my browser?
TikTok says some cookies are how the site remembers that you are logged in. If your browser clears cookies on exit, you are in a private window, or you opened a different profile, TikTok has nothing to recognise you by and asks you to sign in again.
Do browser profiles change my IP address?
No. A profile is a folder of saved browser data. Every profile on the same computer uses the same internet connection, so a profile separates cookies, history and settings, not your network.
Can I give a colleague my TikTok browser profile?
Do not use that as a way to share an account. TikTok's U.S. Terms say you may not let others use your account, or hand it over, unless TikTok permits it. For teams, TikTok documents Business Center permissions and Organization Accounts instead.
Where does Chrome store a profile on Windows?
Chromium's documentation gives the default user data directory on Windows as the Google Chrome User Data folder under LOCALAPPDATA. Profiles are stored as subfolders there, often starting with one named Default, and hold data such as history, bookmarks and cookies.
Are Firefox containers as good as separate profiles?
Mozilla says containers isolate cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches inside one window, so several accounts of one site can be signed in together. History and bookmarks stay shared, and saved passwords are intentionally not isolated.
