Can You Log In to Two DeviantArt Accounts on the Same Computer at Once?

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

Can you be signed in to two DeviantArt accounts at the same time?

Yes, as long as each account has its own browser profile (or, in Firefox, its own container). Inside a single profile, plan on one DeviantArt sign-in at a time. According to DeviantArt's Privacy Policy (last updated 2 June 2026, read 3 October 2026), the cookies it uses to identify logged users include auth and userinfo, and none of the DeviantArt pages read for this guide describes an account switcher or a limit on how many accounts a browser can hold.

That makes it a browser question more than a DeviantArt one. Mozilla describes containers as letting users log into multiple accounts on the same site "even when the site does not natively support concurrent sessions", which is the situation a site creates when it keeps one sign-in per browser context.

What do DeviantArt's own pages say about signing in?

TopicWhat the page saysWhere
Sign-in cookiesThe cookies table lists auth and userinfo for identifying logged users, each with a duration of 1 month, and auth_secure for securityPrivacy Policy, section 5.1
Sign-in methodsIf you sign up or log in through Google, Apple or Facebook, DeviantArt takes in your name and email address plus anything else you allow through your privacy settings, and states that it does not receive or keep your passwords for those servicesPrivacy Policy, section 1.3
PasswordYou keep it to yourself, with no disclosure to any third party, and you answer for activity under itTerms of Service, section 14
Account emailRegistration details must stay true, accurate, current and complete; the email address matters most because DeviantArt uses it to contact you about your accountTerms of Service, section 13
Two-factor authenticationAfter the password, a verification step in an authenticator app; open to every account since July 2026, including accounts created through Google, Apple or FacebookTeam post, July 2026

The last row reports what those pages contain; it is not proof that DeviantArt has no such menu. The Help Center holds step-by-step articles that these pages do not reproduce, for example How do I use the Profile drop-down menu? and How do I view and clear my active sessions?. Open them from your own signed-in session, and look at your own account menu, for the current features and wording.

What happens if you sign in to a second account in the same browser?

A browser profile keeps one set of cookies for deviantart.com. Chromium's documentation says the user data directory contains profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, and that each profile is a subdirectory of it; Chrome's Help says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separate. Every tab and window of one profile therefore reads the same cookies, and the browser has only one answer to the question of who is signed in to deviantart.com. Expect a second sign-in there to replace the first rather than sit beside it. That is general browser behaviour, not a statement by DeviantArt.

Two things that sound like fixes are not:

  • Privacy features such as state or storage partitioning. MDN describes Firefox giving embedded resources a separate storage bucket for every top-level website, and Google's Privacy Sandbox pages describe Chrome isolating storage in third-party contexts. Both concern content embedded from other sites, so neither lets you hold two DeviantArt logins side by side.
  • A private window or a VPN. These are different tools from a profile. The comparison guide explains what private windows and VPNs do and do not separate.

How do you set up the second sign-in?

  1. Create the profile. In Chrome, select Profile at the top right, then Add Chrome profile, and choose a name, photo and colour scheme. In Edge, select the profile icon at the upper right, choose Manage profile settings, then Add profile.
  2. Name it after the account, so the window you open is the account you mean.
  3. Open deviantart.com in that profile and sign in the way that account was created: password, or Google, Apple or Facebook.
  4. Have the authenticator ready. If two-factor authentication is on, the sign-in asks for a code from the authenticator app after the password.
  5. Confirm the account. Check that the username you see is the one you meant before you post, comment or buy anything.
  6. Repeat for the other account in its own profile. Do not sign a second account in to the same profile.

What if the two accounts keep interfering?

  • The first account is signed out when the second signs in. They share a profile. Move one of them to its own profile.
  • A code is requested that you did not expect. Read why DeviantArt signs you out or asks for a code before typing anything, and never give a code to anyone.
  • A Google, Apple or Facebook login opens the wrong identity. Keep a note of which sign-in method each DeviantArt account uses, because DeviantArt receives your name and email address from the provider.
  • You cannot get into one account at all. Use DeviantArt's own routes: its Help Center has articles titled What should I do if I am having trouble logging in? and What should I do if I've lost access to my account?.
  • You are unsure whether holding two accounts is allowed. The Terms and Etiquette Policy set no stated limit but do regulate conduct; the rules guide goes through what they say.
  • You need the full set-up. The profiles guide covers naming, hand-over and backups.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you own or are authorised to manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. A proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk, profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, run mobile apps on a PC. Setup is covered in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with DeviantArt.

Frequently asked questions

Can you have two DeviantArt accounts?

The Terms of Service and Etiquette Policy read for this guide set no limit on accounts and do not forbid a second one, but they do not address the question directly either. DeviantArt's Help Center has its own articles on suspension policy, so check them before relying on an assumption. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage.

How do I switch accounts on DeviantArt?

The DeviantArt pages read for this guide describe no account switcher. Sign-in rests on cookies in your browser, so the ordinary routes are to sign out and sign in again, or to keep each account in its own Chrome or Edge profile, or Firefox container, so both stay signed in side by side.

How many DeviantArt accounts can you have?

The Terms of Service and Etiquette Policy do not state a number. Section 13 of the Terms requires registration details to be true, accurate, current and complete, and treats your email address as the main way DeviantArt contacts you about the account. For a firm answer on limits, ask DeviantArt through its Help Center or contact page.

Can I use Google to log in to two DeviantArt accounts?

The Privacy Policy says you can sign up or log in through Google, Apple or Facebook, and that DeviantArt then collects your name and email address from that service. The pages read do not say how a single provider account is treated across two DeviantArt accounts, so note which sign-in method each account uses and keep each in its own browser profile.

Do separate Chrome profiles keep two DeviantArt logins apart?

For the sign-in itself, yes in practice: Chromium's documentation says the user data directory holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, with each profile in its own subdirectory. Profiles do not change your computer or internet connection, and they do not change DeviantArt's rules.

What happens if I sign in to a second account in the same browser?

DeviantArt lists cookies such as auth and userinfo for identifying logged users, and one browser profile keeps one set of cookies for deviantart.com, so expect the new sign-in to replace the old one. That is general browser behaviour rather than a statement by DeviantArt; separate profiles avoid it.
