Can You Be Logged In to Two Pinterest Accounts at Once on One Computer?
Can you stay logged in to two Pinterest accounts at once on one computer?
Yes, within limits. According to Pinterest's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you can connect accounts that use different emails and switch between them from the account menu, as long as you stay in the same browser session. One account is in front at a time, and after you clear cache and cookies or move to another device you can no longer switch.
How do you connect and switch accounts on the desktop site?
Pinterest's own steps for the web are:
- Log in to your personal or business account.
- Click the arrow-down icon at the top-right corner.
- Select Add Pinterest account.
- Under Existing account, click Connect account.
- Log in to the other account. Pinterest says you are logged in to it and the two are connected right away.
To switch afterwards, open the same menu and click the account you want under Your accounts. If the second account does not exist yet, the same Add Pinterest account menu offers Create a new personal account, and the Help Center says an additional account needs a different email address from the first.
In the mobile app the path is your profile picture, the cog icon (for a business account, the ellipsis icon and then Settings), Add account and Connect existing account. Switch account changes between them.
Logging out works per account. Pinterest says that after you log out you land in one of your other connected accounts, so on a computer other people can reach, log out of each one. Its log-in page also asks you to log out when you finish on a public or shared device.
What limits does Pinterest state?
| Question | What the Help Center says | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Can two accounts share one email? | No. Pinterest ties each email address to a single account. | Email troubleshooting |
| How long does switching work? | While you stay in the same browser session. Clearing cache and cookies, or changing device, stops it. | Connect Pinterest accounts |
| How many accounts can be connected? | The pages read for this guide give no maximum. | None |
| Can two accounts be merged? | Not at this time. Keep both and alternate, or keep one and deactivate or close the others. | Merge accounts |
| Can Pins move between accounts? | Not in bulk. Save each Pin from the old account to the new one. | Merge accounts |
| Where can I create a new business account? | Pinterest says only from a desktop device, with an email not already used on a Pinterest account. | Get a business account |
What happens when every account shares one browser?
The connection lives in the browser session. Pinterest's cookie page says essential cookies are what let you log in and out, so a browser that clears cookies on exit, or a cleared cache, takes the connected accounts with it, and a different computer starts from nothing. Because every connected account is one click away in that browser, treat it like a shared key ring and log out when you leave.
Other routes exist when you want more than quick switching:
| You want | Option | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| To flip between your own accounts | Pinterest's Connect accounts | Different emails, one browser session |
| Two accounts open side by side in separate windows | One browser profile per account | Each profile keeps its own cookies; start with what a browser profile is, then the profiles guide |
| A throwaway second session | A private window | Temporary by design; the comparison guide covers what it does and does not separate |
| Several people working on a brand's account | Business Manager roles | Each person uses their own login; see the business guide |
What happened to linked business accounts?
The Connect Pinterest accounts page says linked business accounts are no longer supported, and that a linked business account that was not converted has been permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated. Two other Help pages, on getting a business account and on converting back to a personal one, say you can no longer link a business and a personal account and that links made earlier stay until you unlink them. The pages are not fully in step. If you relied on a link, check how your own accounts appear and contact Pinterest through the Help Center. For new setups, connect accounts that have different emails, or use Business Manager for teams.
If switching or login goes wrong
- The other account is missing from Your accounts. The session probably ended: cookies were cleared, the browser was changed or you are on another computer. Log in to each account again and repeat the connect steps.
- You see different Pins or boards. Pinterest says you may be in the wrong account. Log out, log in with the right credentials, and if you are signed in automatically to the wrong one, clear the browser's cache and cookies. It can also mean an accidental second account, which Pinterest says is common after getting a new phone. Search for your original account and log in there. Without access to the original email, Pinterest says it cannot verify that you own the account.
- Pinterest says the email is in use. Change the email on the other account in its settings or permanently close it, as the Merge accounts page describes.
- Facebook login no longer works. Pinterest's log-in page says Facebook login is no longer available. Use email and password, Google, or Apple on iOS.
- Repeated log-outs or security emails. Read the sign-in checks guide and the rules guide.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Every profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so Pinterest accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. A proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk, profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Pinterest.
Frequently asked questions
Can you have two Pinterest accounts?
Yes. Pinterest's Help Center says that if you already have a personal account you can create an additional one with a different email address, then connect the two to switch between them. Merging two accounts is not supported at this time.
How do I switch Pinterest accounts on a computer?
Log in, click the arrow-down icon at the top right and choose the account under Your accounts. If the second account is not listed, use Add Pinterest account, click Connect account under Existing account, and log in to it.
Can two Pinterest accounts use one email?
No. Pinterest allows one account per email address at any moment. To reuse an address, change the email on the first account in its settings or permanently close that account.
Why is Pinterest switch accounts not working?
Pinterest ties switching to one browser session. Its Help Center says you cannot switch if you clear your cache and cookies or change device, so log in to each account again and repeat the connect steps from the Add Pinterest account menu.
Can I use several accounts in the Pinterest app?
Yes. The Help Center describes the same idea for iOS and Android: open your profile, tap the settings icon, choose Add account, then Connect existing account, and use Switch account to change. Business accounts reach Settings through the ellipsis icon.
What happened to linked business accounts on Pinterest?
The Connect Pinterest accounts page says linked business accounts are no longer supported and that one which was not converted has been permanently deactivated. Other Help pages word older links differently, so check your own accounts and contact Pinterest if unsure.
