How to Keep Several Kick Accounts Separate on One PC With Browser Profiles

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 7 min read

What does a browser profile keep separate for Kick accounts?

A profile is a separate set of browser data. Chrome Help says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings apart, Chromium's documentation says the user data directory holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies with each profile in its own subdirectory, and Microsoft's Edge help says its profiles keep settings, bookmarks, extensions, themes and preferences separate. Putting each Kick account in its own profile therefore gives it its own sign-in, which is why two accounts can stay open at once.

What a profile keeps apartWhy it matters for Kick
CookiesKick's login guide lists outdated cookies among the causes of login trouble; separate cookies keep one account's sign-in out of another's
Saved passwordsEach profile offers only its own saved logins, so you are less likely to paste the wrong account's password
Extensions and settingsKick lists ad blockers, privacy and tracking blockers, script blockers and VPN extensions as common causes of trouble; Edge keeps extensions per profile, so the profile you use for the dashboard can stay lean
Bookmarks and historyEach account's dashboard, chat and settings pages stay at hand in the right profile

What a profile does not change is the computer, its operating system and its internet connection, which are the same for every profile. Kick's rules apply to each account whatever tool holds it.

How do you set up one profile per Kick account?

In Chrome, following Chrome Help:

  1. Open Chrome. At the top right, select Profile, then Add Chrome profile.
  2. Choose a name, a photo and a colour scheme. Chrome says signing in with a Google Account in the new profile is optional; it only matters if you want bookmarks and passwords saved to that account.
  3. In the new profile, go to kick.com and sign in with that account's email address, or sign up.
  4. Open kick.com/settings/security, turn on two-factor authentication and save the backup codes.
  5. Use that profile only for that Kick account. If you stream from the browser, allow camera and microphone access when asked; Kick's Web Go Live page says both must be enabled before you can start.

In Edge, select the Profile icon at the upper right, then Set up a new profile, choose Personal or Work or school, pick Sign in to sync data or Start without your data, and select Confirm and start browsing. To switch, select the Profile icon and choose the profile.

In Firefox, Mozilla's Containers keep cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches apart inside one window, and each container is marked by a name, an icon and a colour. History, bookmarks and saved passwords are not isolated, so containers suit light separation. Kick recommends current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari on Mac, so choose from those.

How should you name and organise the profiles?

What to decideSuggested approachWhy it helps
Profile namePlatform, purpose and owner, for example Kick - Brand channel - owner MaiYou see whose account it is, not just which site
Colour or photoOne colour per client or brandChrome lets you choose a colour scheme for each profile, so the right window is easy to spot
Register entryOne line per account: Kick username, account email, who is authorised, where the 2FA entry and backup codes are keptKick's recovery questions ask for the username, the email and proof of ownership
Purpose notePersonal, brand or clientThe account's role is clear if Kick ever asks

How do you hand a profile over, or back it up?

A signed-in profile carries the account's live sign-in, because cookies are part of a profile's data. Handing one over is like handing over a password. Kick says never to share your password or stream key, and that an account is meant for a single user, so a helper should get a Moderator role (see the team access guide) rather than your profile.

  • When someone leaves, remove their role, change the password if they held it, reset the stream key and delete the profile from the computer if it is no longer needed. In Chrome that is Profile, Manage Chrome profiles, choose the profile, More, Delete, then confirm. In Edge it is the Profile icon, Profile settings, More profiles, the delete button, then Remove profile.
  • Back up what you cannot recreate. That means access to the account email, the 2FA backup codes and your register of which profile belongs to which account. Kick recommends keeping backup codes in a password manager, not in plain text on the device or in email.
  • Mind where profile data lives. Chromium's documentation puts Chrome's default user data folder at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data on Windows, with a subfolder per profile. A copy of that folder holds sign-in cookies, so protect backups of it like passwords.
  • Decide on sync deliberately. Chrome Help says that if you choose to sign in to Chrome in a profile, you can save its bookmarks, passwords and settings to that Google Account and reach them from other devices. For a client's Kick account, choose whose Google Account that is, or leave it signed out.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

SymptomLikely causeFix
Kick asks you to sign in again after a clean-upKick's own advice is to clear cache and cookies, which ends sign-ins in that profileSign in again; next time clear data only in the profile that has the problem
Login or the dashboard misbehaves after adding an extensionKick names ad blockers, privacy and tracking blockers, script blockers and VPN extensions as common culpritsTest in a private window, then re-enable extensions one at a time; Kick says an ad blocker can usually be set to allow Kick instead of being switched off
The browser studio will not startCamera or microphone access was not allowed in this profileAllow both when the browser prompts
OBS goes live on the wrong channelThe stream key was copied while signed in to another accountKick says to be signed in to the account you want to stream from before copying the key, then paste that key into OBS
Video is choppy or the player will not loadKick says the browser's hardware acceleration setting may be the causeCheck that setting in the profile you use for watching

When do browser profiles stop being enough?

A handful of profiles is easy to manage by hand. Trouble starts at dozens: names drift, extension sets differ, nobody remembers which profile belongs to which client, and every profile has to be opened, closed and tidied one at a time. Hand-overs multiply too, and each one is a chance to leave a sign-in behind. That is the point where people look for a tool that manages profiles in bulk.

Whatever you use, Kick's rules stay the same. Each account is yours or one you are authorised to manage, it belongs to a single user, and it is never opened to get around a suspension. The rules guide shows where the lines are, and what a browser profile is covers the basics. For sign-in trouble inside a profile, read why Kick logs you out or locks an account.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Every profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so the Kick accounts you manage stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, a proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, run mobile apps on a PC. ADSSPEED does not change Kick's rules. Setup is covered in install ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Kick.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use two Kick accounts at once on one computer?

Create one browser profile per account. In Chrome, select Profile at the top right, then Add Chrome profile; in Edge, use the Profile icon and Set up a new profile. Then sign in to kick.com in each profile with that account's own email and keep each account in its own profile.

Do browser profiles share Kick logins?

No. Cookies belong to a profile, and Chromium's documentation lists cookies among the data kept for each profile. A Kick sign-in made in one profile is not visible in another, which is why two profiles can hold two accounts side by side.

Which browser should I use for Kick?

Kick recommends the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari on Mac, and says to keep the browser up to date. It also lists ad blockers, privacy and tracking blockers, script blockers and VPN extensions as common causes of problems on the site.

Why does Kick ask me to sign in again in one profile?

Kick's own fix for login trouble is to clear cache and cookies, which ends the sign-ins stored in that profile. Old cookies can also cause login problems. Sign in again, and in future clear data only in the profile that has the problem.

Can Firefox containers hold separate Kick accounts?

Mozilla says containers isolate cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches inside one window. History, bookmarks and saved passwords are not isolated, so containers suit light separation, while a full browser profile separates more.

Should I hand a signed-in browser profile to a colleague?

Treat it like a password: a profile holds live sign-in cookies. Kick says never to share your password and that an account is meant for a single user, so a helper should get a Moderator role instead of your profile.
