Does Dailymotion allow more than one account? #

The Terms of Use page read for this guide (last updated 30 June 2026, in force from 7 July 2026) sets no number of accounts per person and has no sentence about a second account. What it says is narrower. The email you give must be genuine, because account creation may be blocked for temporary, disposable or anonymous email services. You alone are responsible for what happens under your account. Your user ID and password are yours to keep confidential, and unauthorised use is to be reported to Dailymotion at once. So the question is less how many accounts you hold than what you do with each one.

Two limits apply to this reading. Partners accept separate Partner terms inside Studio, and those were not among the pages read. And Dailymotion can change its Terms, so open the live page before relying on a detail.

What do the rules restrict? #

If you are unsure whether a planned use counts as commercial use, ask Dailymotion Support or your Account Manager before relying on your own reading of the Terms.

What happens when a rule is broken? #

• Content and account sanctions. The Terms say that failing to comply may lead to removed content, a deactivated account, a blocked embeddable player, or changes to or removal of data tied to your content or account.
• Features suspended, account blocked or deleted. Dailymotion's plain-language summary of its Prohibited Content Policy lists deleted videos, suspended access to features such as comments and uploads, a blocked or deleted account, and contact with the authorities after serious violations.
• Repeat or severe breaches. The Help Center says an account that repeatedly or severely breaks the policy can be reviewed and may be deactivated, and that a serious or repeated breach can lead to suspension and a report to the competent authorities.
• Copyright strikes. Each strike stays for 90 days. Too many within that window means a 7-day suspension from uploading, and further strikes can mean permanent deletion of the account with all its videos. Partner Program members may get a short grace period.
• Inactivity. Dailymotion may delete or take back an account that has seen no activity for more than a year, without warning. Accounts with uploaded content or active API keys are not affected.

How do you stay inside the rules with several accounts? #

1. Give each account an owner, a purpose and its own email address, and write down who is authorised to manage it.
2. Use a real mailbox you will keep for each account. Disposable addresses can block creation, and the mailbox is also where resets and codes arrive.
3. Keep passwords private. Teams should use Organization roles instead of a shared login; see the team access guide.
4. Do not automate access, views, likes or subscriber counts, and do not pay or encourage anyone else to do it.
5. Do not trade login credentials, and do not pose as another person or brand.
6. Review accounts you no longer use. If you do not need one, delete it yourself rather than leaving it to lapse into the inactive-account policy.
7. If you act for a company, make sure someone with authority accepted the Terms.

What if one of your accounts is sanctioned? #

According to Dailymotion's appeal page (read 3 October 2026), you can appeal when content was removed, restricted or demonetised, or when your account was suspended, sanctioned or deleted. After moderation you receive an email with a link to a dedicated form, and the email shows a reference number and a moderation date. You have 6 months from the decision, and each decision can be appealed only once. Give as much context as you can, because incomplete or unfounded appeals cannot be processed. If you still disagree, the page names independent out-of-court dispute bodies certified in the EU and says your right to go to court remains; for legal questions it advises speaking to a professional.
