How Many VK Accounts Can You Have? What VK's Help and Community Rules Say

How many VK accounts am I allowed to have? #

VK's own pages give one number. According to VK ID's Help (read 3 October 2026), you can create up to three accounts and switch quickly between them, for example to keep work and personal matters apart. The same Help says the quick-switch list holds no more than three accounts at once. The Help pages read for this guide do not state a separate cap on the total number of accounts one person may hold, so check the Terms of Service on VK's legal page before relying on any figure, including this one.

Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow VK's rules.

What does VK say is not allowed? #

The clearest wording comes from VK's community rules. The table also lists related warnings from the VK ID Help.

For developers, VK's Platform Rules (dated 19 August 2026 on the page) say an app must not contain functions that make its users break VK's terms of use. That sentence is aimed at app builders, but it matters here because it ties third-party tools back to VK's terms of use.

How do phone numbers limit extra accounts? #

Phone numbers are where the account limit shows up in daily use. The VK ID overview page says one number can be tied to only one VK ID account. The Help page about registration adds that the account settings accept one phone number, that this limit exists to protect the account, and that registering a new account unlinks the number from the current one, so access to the current account can be lost.

Three more details from the Help:

• A number that was used on several accounts, or re-linked recently, may have used up its limit, and then a new account cannot be created with it.
• If you created a duplicate by mistake, the Help sends you to Support and asks you to keep the links to your accounts.
• VK advises against letting relatives or friends link your number to their accounts, because you then cannot sign in with it yourself.

Plan one number per account you own.

What happens when VK blocks an account? #

VK's blocked-account page (read 3 October 2026) describes this order of events.

1. On sign-in you see the period, the reason and how to unblock; you confirm with a code sent to the phone.
2. A temporary block ends on its date. VK says there are no early unblocks.
3. A permanent block also blocks the phone number, so a new account cannot be created with that number.
4. If you can no longer use the old number, you can give a new one during unblocking, as long as it is not tied to another VK ID account. After 24 hours you sign out and sign in again with the new details.
5. If you disagree, write to Support from the blocked account, using the Contact Support button on the block screen.

How do I stay inside the rules with several accounts? #

1. Keep within three accounts per quick-switch list and give each account its own phone number.
2. Run only accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Never create or acquire extra accounts to message or promote.
3. Skip unofficial apps and add-on programs that extend VK, and keep the official app up to date.
4. Keep codes private. VK's security tips say never to pass on codes received by SMS or any other way.
5. For community work, use roles instead of shared logins; the business guide covers them.
6. If a check or a block appears, use VK's recovery and Support routes; the logout and checks guide shows the steps.
