Can you stay logged in to two Wattpad accounts at once on one computer?

Yes, if each account lives in its own browser profile. According to Wattpad's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you can log in or out of accounts on the app or on the web, and the web steps cover signing in to one account and signing out. No page read for this guide describes holding two accounts open or switching between them, so inside a single profile there is no switcher to rely on.

What does Wattpad say about signing in on a computer?

On a computer, Wattpad is a website. The Help Center's device page lists Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge as supported desktop browsers. It also says Wattpad "no longer supports the Windows or Kindle apps" and points people to the website or to the iOS and Android apps.

The Help Center's web login steps are:

  1. Open a browser and go to www.wattpad.com.
  2. Click Log In in the upper right corner. A login box opens in the middle of the screen.
  3. Type your email or username and your password, then click Log In.
  4. To sign out, click your username in the upper right corner and select Log Out.

Wattpad also offers single sign-on: its Help Center says Google and Facebook sign-in work on Android, iOS and the web once your Wattpad account is linked to one of them.

Traps to know before you open a second account

  • One email, one active account. The Help Center says an email can be linked to only one active Wattpad account, and its page on restoring closed accounts repeats that you cannot have more than one active account with the same email. A second account needs its own address.
  • Gmail dots do not make a new address. Wattpad records a Gmail address that contains periods as the same address without them, to prevent duplicate accounts. Typing the dotted version at login can bring an "invalid email" message.
  • Google and Facebook buttons can create accounts. The single sign-on page says that if no account is linked to the Google or Facebook account you choose, this method creates a new one. When several accounts share a browser, check which Google or Facebook account is offered before you click.
  • Stories stay where they are. Wattpad says a story cannot be transferred to another account, so decide which account publishes it before you post.
  • The same account in two places. Wattpad's error-messages page recommends editing on one device at a time when you write on several, because an edit made elsewhere can conflict with the one you are making. Treat two windows on one account the same way.

Step by step: two accounts side by side

In Chrome on a computer, the profile icon at the top right leads to Add Chrome profile. Name the new profile after the account, log in to Wattpad inside it as usual, then repeat for the second account in a second profile. Chromium's design notes say different windows can belong to different profiles at the same time, so the two Wattpad sessions can stay open side by side, and the profile icon switches between them.

Edge offers Set up a new profile from its own profile icon, and Firefox users can use Mozilla's Multi-Account Containers add-on, which Mozilla says keeps each container's cookies away from the others. Both are walked through, with naming, hand-over and backups, in keeping Wattpad accounts apart with browser profiles. Can you have multiple accounts on Wattpad?

Wattpad's pages set no number, but the archived Terms encourage no more than one account and the Help Center links each email address to only one active account. Every account you keep is held to the same rules, and a second account needs its own email address.

Can you have two Wattpad accounts with the same email?

No. According to Wattpad's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), an email can be linked to only one active Wattpad account. Gmail addresses that differ only by dots are recorded as the same address, so they do not count as two.

How do I log in to Wattpad in Chrome?
