Separate Chrome or Edge Profiles for Each Behance Account: A Step-by-Step Setup
How do you keep two Behance accounts apart on one PC?
Give each account its own browser profile and sign in to only one Behance account in it. A Chrome profile keeps bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separate, and Chromium keeps cookies inside the folder of each profile, so a Behance sign-in in one profile does not show up in another. Edge profiles likewise keep browsing history and bookmarks apart, and Firefox containers separate cookies and site storage inside one window.
That suits how Behance works. According to Behance's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you sign in with an Adobe ID and use another account by logging out and signing in again. A profile gives each account a sign-in of its own. If the term is new, read what a browser profile is; the multi-login guide explains why Behance has no switcher.
What a profile separates, and what it does not
| Item | Chrome or Edge profile | Firefox container |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies and sign-ins | Separate per profile | Separate per container |
| History and bookmarks | Separate per profile | Not separated |
| Saved passwords | Separate per profile in Chrome | Shared by design |
| Two Behance accounts open side by side | Yes, in two profiles | Yes, in two container tabs |
| The computer and the internet connection | The same | The same |
The facts come from the Chrome, Chromium, Edge and Mozilla pages listed below. Private windows and VPNs do different jobs, compared in this guide.
Set it up in Chrome or Edge
- Create the profile. In Chrome, select Profile at the top right, then Add Chrome profile, and choose a name, photo and colour scheme. In Edge, select the profile icon at the upper right, then Manage profile settings, Add profile and Add, and decide whether to sign in and sync or start without your data.
- Decide on syncing. Chrome says signing in with a Google Account in the profile lets you save bookmarks, passwords and settings in that account and reach them on other devices. For client work, think about whose Google Account that should be.
- Open Behance.net in that profile. Chrome and Edge on PC are both on Behance's supported list.
- Sign in. Select Sign In in the top right. Enter the Adobe ID and password, or choose Facebook or Google if that is how the account was created, and pick the right Adobe profile if you are offered one.
- Check the result. Select your avatar and open Settings to confirm it is the account you meant.
- Repeat for each account in a new profile. Do not sign in to a second account in the same profile.
Signing in to Chrome for sync and choosing Google on Behance's sign-in screen are two different steps.
Behance settings to check in every profile
- Third-party cookies. The Help Center says Behance does not support browsers with third-party cookies disabled. If you want them blocked, add an exception for Adobe.com with the
*wildcard the page asks for. - Extensions. Ad blockers and password managers can interfere with how Behance displays, and the Help Center suggests a private window as a test.
- Browser version. Behance supports the two most recent versions of each supported browser.
- Email check. Each account's email address must be verified to use every feature; the verification email can be resent from Adobe Account Settings.
Naming, hand-over and backups
Naming. Put the brand first, then the Behance URL, then the owner, for example ACME / behance.net/acme / Linh, and give each client a colour.
Hand-over. The Help Center pages read describe no way to delegate a login. Share work through a Team and co-owners instead, as the team access guide explains, because Adobe's terms allow account information to be shared only with an authorized account administrator. If a company owns an account, register it to a company-controlled mailbox, since recovery runs through the account's email address.
Backups. Two different things need saving:
- The work. In the Project Editor, hover over an image, select the blue pencil icon and choose Download Original. The Help Center says this is not available for video.
- The profile folder. Chromium's documentation says each profile is a subdirectory of the user data directory, which holds history, bookmarks and cookies; the Windows default for Chrome is
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data. Treat any copy like a password.
Do not confuse deleting a browser profile with deleting a Behance account: the account's Delete Account tab is instant and permanent.
When ordinary profiles stop being enough
| Signal | Why it hurts | What helps |
|---|---|---|
| More than a handful of accounts | Names and colours stop preventing the wrong profile being opened | A tool that opens, stops and organises profiles in bulk |
| Several people use one computer | Profile folders hold sign-in cookies | Separate operating-system users, or Team roles and co-ownership instead of shared profiles |
| A task needs a phone app | The Help Center says Behance has iOS and Android apps, and a browser profile cannot run an app | An Android phone profile; see what an antidetect phone is |
No set-up changes what Behance's rules allow or how Behance treats an account.
If a profile misbehaves
- Signed out repeatedly. Check the third-party cookie setting in that profile, then read why Behance logs you out.
- The wrong account is in the wrong profile. Log out, sign in with the right Adobe ID and rename the profile.
- An empty profile after login. You used a different Adobe ID or login method; the same guide explains the profile choice screen.
- Pages look broken. Disable extensions in that profile or test in a private window, as the Help Center suggests.
Where ADSSPEED fits
Once the list of accounts outgrows names and colours, ADSSPEED, a desktop app for Windows and macOS, manages the profiles for you. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles are opened, stopped and organised in bulk, a proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles at once, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, cover mobile apps on a PC. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Behance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I log in to two Behance accounts in different Chrome profiles?
Yes, that is the usual way to have both open at once. Chrome says each profile keeps its own bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings, and Chromium's documentation says profile data such as cookies sits in a per-profile folder. Sign in to one Behance account in each profile.
Do I need to change cookie settings in every profile?
Check them in each one. Behance's Help Center says it does not support browsers with third-party cookies disabled unless you add an Adobe.com exception, and Chrome says profiles keep settings separate, so confirm the setting in every profile you use for Behance.
Which browsers does Behance support?
The Help Center lists Chrome and Firefox on PC and Mac, Safari on Mac only and Edge on PC only, in the two most recent versions. That page was last updated in February 2020, so check it for changes before you rely on it.
How do I back up my Behance work?
The Help Center describes a Download Original option in the Project Editor for images you uploaded, and says it is not available for video. Keep your own master files too: a copy of a browser profile folder is not a backup of the account and holds sign-in cookies.
How do I remove a Behance account from a browser profile I no longer use?
Log out of Behance in that profile, then delete the profile in Chrome, which its help page describes as selecting the profile, then More, then Delete. Do not use Behance's Delete Account tab for this, because the Help Center says deleting a Behance profile is instant and permanent.
Does a separate browser profile change how Behance treats my account?
No. A profile only separates data on your computer, such as cookies and settings. Adobe's terms and Behance's Community Guidelines apply to every account however it is opened, and nothing about a profile promises how an account will be treated.
