Why Is My Bilibili Account Logged Out, Banned or Asking Me to Verify? What Bilibili's Pages Say
Why does Bilibili log you out, restrict an account or ask you to verify?
No single page read for this guide explains why Bilibili signs an account out. The agreement and the verification pages do name a short list of causes: breaking Bilibili's rules, someone other than the registrant using the account, an account that did not come through Bilibili's official channels, and a real-name submission that does not match. None of the pages describes an unusual-login screen, a device limit or a session length, so this guide does not either.
Everything below comes from pages on bilibili.com and its subdomains, read on 3 October 2026. The copy of the agreement hosted at game.bilibili.com is dated 1 September 2020, and clause numbers refer to it. Bilibili's Help Center and Community Rules are not summarised here; open them through Bilibili's own pages for current wording. Sites on other Bilibili domains, such as bilibili.tv, are not covered.
Quick lookup: what you see and what the pages say
| You see | What Bilibili's pages say | What the pages point you to |
|---|---|---|
| Signed out on a computer other people use | The agreement asks you to log out safely after each login or use of Bilibili (2.5.2) | Log out each time you finish, and keep each account in its own browser profile |
| Service interrupted or ended without notice | Bilibili may interrupt or end all or part of the service without notice if you break the law, the agreement or its other rules (8.3) | Contact human customer service through the Help Center |
| Account suspended or cancelled after someone else used it | If Bilibili finds, or has reasonable grounds to think, that the user is not the original registrant, it may suspend or end the service and cancel the account (2.3) | Use a personal account yourself only; for a company, see the company account guide |
| Registration refused or account banned | Clause 2.7 lets Bilibili refuse registration and/or ban users who break the list in 2.6, which includes several accounts with the same identity verification information (2.6.3) | Read the rules guide, then ask customer service |
| Account used without your permission | Tell Bilibili at once (2.5.1). Bilibili says it does not compensate for losses from a leaked or stolen account (1.3) | Report it, then change the password |
| Account or client from outside official channels | Called unlawful gains, not recognised, and may be deleted, zeroed or banned (1.3) | Use only Bilibili's official website, clients and sign-up |
| Real-name verification rejected | An unclear photo, or one that does not match the typed details, leads to rejection, and the page tells you to correct the details and apply again | Correct and resubmit |
| Phone verification fails on the real-name page | The page requires the phone number and the code, and says the code is valid for 5 minutes | Use the code within that time |
Why two accounts in one browser can look like random sign-outs
A browser profile holds one set of cookies and site data: Chromium's documentation lists cookies among a profile's data, and Chrome's Help page says bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings are kept apart per profile. If a site keeps your sign-in in that data, a second account opened in the same profile shares it, and one sign-in can replace the other. The pages read do not say which parts of Bilibili's sign-in work this way, so test with accounts you own.
The fix is organisational rather than clever: one profile per account, a clear name for each, and the same profile every time. The guide to separate browser profiles has the steps, and the guide to two accounts on one computer covers what Bilibili says about signing in.
If you think someone else is using your account
- Tell Bilibili immediately. The Chinese agreement (2.5.1) says you will notify Bilibili at once if your account or password is used without authorisation or a security problem occurs. The English copy says the same in clause 2.1.
- Open the Help Center and, if needed, contact human customer service. The contact page names both.
- Stop using unofficial clients or accounts from other sources, which clause 1.3 does not recognise.
- Change the password in the account's own settings.
- Act quickly. Clause 1.3 says Bilibili does not compensate for losses caused by a leaked or stolen account.
If the account is restricted: the recovery routes
- Under the main agreement, the pages read describe no appeal procedure. Use the Help Center and human customer service.
- For messaging restrictions on the mobile client, Bilibili's message service specification lets you appeal with supporting material through online customer service (Article 23). It states no time limit.
- For a withdrawn verification badge, Bilibili's verification Q&A lists the reasons: breaking the agreement or Community Rules, failing the annual review, or a subject that has clearly given up the account. While a subject is involved, or may be involved, in a major public-opinion event, Bilibili may extend the review or hold off approving it. After withdrawal you wait 30 days before re-applying.
- To close an account instead, apply through customer service. The agreement says the account must not be in password recovery or a phone-number change, and must have no unresolved complaints or reports. Closure cannot be reversed.
Where ADSSPEED fits
Sign-outs are easier to trace when every account has one fixed home. In ADSSPEED, a desktop app for Windows and macOS, each browser profile holds its own cookies, local data and settings, so accounts you manage can stay open next to each other without signing one another out. Proxies can be set per profile or in bulk, and profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk. Profile data stays on your own computer.
Bilibili's own checks, notices and rules still apply. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Bilibili.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Bilibili account banned?
Bilibili's agreement says it may refuse registration and ban users who break its list of prohibited acts, and may interrupt or end service without notice for breaches. It also says it may suspend or cancel an account that someone other than the registrant uses. No fixed number of warnings is stated.
Why does Bilibili keep logging me out?
The pages read give no single reason. The agreement asks you to log out safely after each use, and two accounts in one browser profile share one set of site data, which can make one sign-in replace the other. If you cannot explain a sign-out, follow the steps for a possible unauthorised sign-in.
Why is Bilibili asking for ID verification?
Bilibili's real-name page says verified accounts can use services such as opening a live room. It lists ID and photo requirements and says each ID document can be bound to only one account. The pages read do not list every situation that leads to a request.
Why is my Bilibili verification code not sending or showing an error?
The pages read do not explain failed codes. On the real-name page, the phone number and the code are both required, and the code is valid for 5 minutes. For other cases, open Bilibili's Help Center or contact human customer service.
Is there a Bilibili account security alert?
The pages read describe no alert screens. The agreement says Bilibili may send notices by email, in the client or on web pages, and that you must tell Bilibili at once if your account or password is used without authorisation. Open notices only inside Bilibili's own channels.
How do I delete a Bilibili account instead of recovering it?
Apply to Bilibili's customer service. The agreement says customer service reviews the account's security status first, that the account must not be in password recovery or a phone-number change or have unresolved complaints, and that cancellation cannot be reversed.
