Viber Rules on Multiple Accounts: What the Terms Say About Extra Accounts
Does Viber allow more than one account?
Viber's published rules lean against it. Section 7 of the Terms of Service, titled Restrictions of Use, lists "create multiple accounts" among the things users may not do, and the Help Center says two accounts with different phone numbers cannot be merged. No page read for this guide gives a number of accounts one person may hold, so there is no allowed figure to quote.
The pages were read on 3 October 2026 and Viber changes them, so check the current text. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Viber's rules.

Personal use, business use and advertising
Business accounts have their own limits.
- One per number. The Help Center says each phone number registered on Viber can have only one business account.
- Business use only. The Business Accounts Terms ask you to use the service for business, commercial and authorised purposes, not personal use. The Fair Usage Policy lists a business account that appears personal in nature as outside fair usage.
- Micro and small businesses. The Fair Usage Policy says business accounts are for businesses with fewer than 50 employees, annual turnover or balance sheet total up to EUR 10 million, and no more than 10,000 messages a month in the account's chat.
- Who you may message. The Business Accounts Terms say a business may start chats only with Viber users who are its customers and have its contact details saved.
- Ads for others. The Advertising Policy says that if you manage ads for another person or company, each advertiser must be managed through a separate account. The wider client setup is in how agencies manage multiple client ad accounts.
What can happen to an account
- Enforcement actions. The Help Center lists removing content, limiting its visibility, restricting features, temporarily suspending an account, and permanently suspending or terminating it. A step can apply to one feature or to the whole account.
- No prior notice. The Fair Usage Policy says Viber may restrict, suspend, terminate, block or limit the visibility of an account at its sole discretion and without prior notice, except where the law says otherwise. It may also ask for documents such as proof of business size or identity.
- Spam blocks. A suspected spammer cannot send messages. The Help Center describes most first-time blocks as temporary, with a permanent block if the anti-spam system flags the account again.
- Business accounts. The Business Accounts Terms let Viber modify, suspend or terminate access at any time, including for violations or excessive negative feedback.
How to stay inside the rules
- Do not create extra accounts for yourself. Register the account you have with accurate details, on a number you control.
- Do not open a replacement account after Viber disables one. Appeal instead.
- Never buy, sell, rent or lend access to an account, and never share activation codes or your 2-step verification PIN.
- Do not run bots or scripts on personal accounts. Use only the channels, APIs and interfaces Viber approves.
- Message people who expect to hear from you, and never the same text to a crowd of strangers.
- For a brand, use a business account or a Community or Channel with admins, as in the business guide.
If an account is restricted or disabled
Use the appeal route. The Help Center says to submit it through the Contact Us request form, to explain thoroughly what was blocked and why the decision should be reviewed, and to act as soon as possible after the notice. If Viber reverses its decision it may restore content or lift the restriction; if it confirms the decision, the action stays and Viber notifies you. Do not open another account to carry on, because the Terms list that as a restricted action. For sign-in and activation problems, see why Viber Desktop logs you out.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED does not change what Viber's Terms, Fair Usage Policy or Acceptable Use Policy allow. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles, and Viber Desktop is not a browser. It helps with browser-based work around Viber, such as an agency keeping each advertiser's web sign-in in its own profile with its own cookies, local data and browser settings. Profile data stays on your own computer. Use it only with accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Viber's rules. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Viber.
Frequently asked questions
How many Viber accounts can you have?
None of the pages read for this guide gives a number. The Terms of Service list creating multiple accounts among restricted actions, and the Help Center says two accounts with different phone numbers cannot be merged. Check the current Terms or ask Viber support about your case.
Can you have 2 Viber accounts?
Viber's Terms of Service name creating multiple accounts among the actions users may not take, and the Fair Usage Policy separately rules out running multiple accounts in a systematic, automated or coordinated way to get around service limits or enforcement.
Why was my Viber account suspended or banned?
The Help Center says Viber may restrict or suspend an account when it believes content or activity breaks its Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, feature-specific terms or the law, with spam, scams and impersonation among the examples. The notice should name the type of action and the general category.
Is a Viber account blocked for spam permanent?
Not always. The Help Center describes most first-time blocks as temporary and cleared after 24 hours, while a repeat flag by the anti-spam system can lead to a permanent block. Uninstalling or deactivating Viber does not unblock the account.
Can one phone number have two Viber business accounts?
No. The Help Center says each phone number registered on Viber can have only one business account. It also says a business account that was blocked cannot be deleted and that you cannot open new business accounts after a blocked one.
What happens if I open a new Viber account after mine was disabled?
The Terms of Service list creating another account after Viber has already disabled yours among restricted actions. The route Viber describes for a disputed decision is an appeal through its Contact Us request form.
Can I appeal if Viber blocks my account?
Yes. The Help Center says that if you believe Viber made a mistake you can appeal through the Contact Us request form, explaining what was blocked and why the decision should be reviewed. Users in the European Economic Area may have at least six months.
