Can You Have Multiple Accounts on SoundCloud? What the Rules Say
Can you have multiple accounts on SoundCloud?
SoundCloud's Terms of Use (last amended 17 August 2026) and Community Guidelines (last amended 18 March 2025), both read on 3 October 2026, do not give a limit on how many accounts one person may hold. The Help Center treats having several as something to manage: it says accounts cannot be merged and suggests keeping them for different purposes. What the rules do forbid is a list of behaviours, and one of them, from the Community Guidelines' list of spammy behaviours that are not possible, reads: "Create multiple accounts with the intention of inflating the popularity of other profiles."
Every account needs its own email address. The Help Center says an address can be associated with only one SoundCloud account at a time, and that the address used at sign-up is what SoundCloud treats as the sign of ownership.
What do the rules forbid?
| Behaviour | What the rules say | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Several accounts to inflate other profiles' popularity | Listed among the spammy behaviours the Community Guidelines say are not possible | Community Guidelines |
| Boosting services | Against the Terms; the Help Center warns of permanent suspension and loss of the account and content | Help Center pages on fake activity and promotional services |
| Bots, scripts, apps, plugins or extensions that act for you | Prohibited when designed to misrepresent popularity or activity, including to register accounts, log in, follow, play or message, particularly in a multiple or repetitive fashion | Terms of Use |
| An account made only to commercialise plays, likes or followers | Prohibited | Terms of Use |
| Impersonation | Prohibited, including registering an account in another person's or company's name | Terms of Use, Community Guidelines |
| Using another person's account or password | Prohibited without that person's express permission | Terms of Use |
| Selling or transferring an account | Prohibited without SoundCloud's prior written approval; reports can lead to immediate termination without notice | Terms of Use, Help Center |
| Sharing your login | You stay responsible for all activity under your credentials; the Help Center advises against sharing access | Terms of Use, Help Center |
What are the limits on everyday activity?
The Help Center's Feature Use Policies page says you can be blocked from a feature if your account:
- posts similar comments or messages, or repeats the same links;
- follows many accounts in a short time, or accounts it recently unfollowed;
- likes or reposts many tracks in one day, or tracks it recently removed from its likes or reposts;
- is flagged as spam by a number of community members.
The anti-spam systems are automated and look for the same activity in large numbers within a 24-hour period. A first warning must be acknowledged with Yes, I understand. After that, reaching the limit again blocks the feature for a period that grows each time. SoundCloud says it cannot remove blocks by hand, whatever the subscription, and advises listening to a sound before liking or reposting it.
Sign-ups are watched too. The Common Errors During Sign Up page says the anti-spam systems monitor IP addresses and flag multiple account creations from the same address, treat rapid clicking or sign-ups as possibly automated, and can mark sign-ups from regions with high spam rates as suspicious. It adds that legitimate users may get blocked and points to the AI agent. Opening accounts in numbers is outside this guide.
What can happen when a rule is broken?
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| Terms of Use | SoundCloud may, with or without prior notice, suspend or terminate an account if activity would or might breach the Terms or Community Guidelines; content in a terminated account is deleted, apart from what SoundCloud is obliged or permitted to retain |
| Community Guidelines | A written warning with a statement of reasons goes to the account's email; more than two warnings may lead to suspension or termination; in some cases termination can be immediate; on suspension or termination you are notified with reasons and can dispute |
| Help Center | Boosting activity risks permanent suspension; a frozen account means checking email and SoundCloud messages, then contacting the AI agent |
| Public API page | Access is granted by application, credentials can be revoked, and trying to obtain new credentials after a revocation is prohibited |
What do the documents leave open?
- No stated limit. The Terms of Use, Community Guidelines and Help Center pages read set no number of accounts per person, per computer or per connection.
- No explanation of linking. None of them says how SoundCloud relates accounts to one another, and this guide does not guess.
- No promise either way. The pages describe warnings, blocks and disputes, but nothing in them says how any particular account will be treated.
How do you stay inside the rules with several accounts?
- Give each account its own purpose, as the Help Center's example suggests: personal projects in one, collaborations in another.
- Use a separate email address you control for each account; ownership follows it.
- Do not sell or transfer an account, and think hard before sharing a login. If other people need access to an artist account, see the team access guide.
- Skip any service or tool that promises plays, followers or likes, and any automation that logs in, follows, plays or messages for you.
- Respect the feature limits: no repeated comments, no bursts of follows, no likes or reposts of tracks you have not listened to.
- Turn on two-factor authentication and add a secondary email address, so a lock-out does not become an ownership dispute.
What if an account is frozen, removed or deleted?
- Frozen. SoundCloud says it always informs users by email. Read your email and SoundCloud messages, then contact the AI agent, which creates a ticket.
- Suspended or terminated. Use the dispute route in the notice. For SoundCloud for Artists, the Help Center says reinstatement is not promised, but a claim is reviewed.
- Deleted. If you deleted it, the Help Center says the data is fully removed and may not be recoverable. If someone else did, contact Support through the chatbot, then set a strong password, revoke connections, add a secondary email and remove unknown ones.
- Carrying on after a removal. Opening another account to continue is not something this guide covers. The routes SoundCloud describes are the notice, the dispute and support.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data is kept on your own computer. It does not change what SoundCloud allows, and every account stays subject to SoundCloud's rules. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with SoundCloud.
Frequently asked questions
Can you have multiple accounts on SoundCloud?
The Terms of Use and Community Guidelines read for this guide give no limit on accounts per person, and the Help Center suggests keeping several accounts for different purposes. What the Community Guidelines forbid is creating multiple accounts with the intention of inflating other profiles' popularity. Each account also needs its own email address.
Can you get banned from SoundCloud?
Yes. The Terms of Use let SoundCloud suspend or terminate an account, with or without notice, if activity on it would or might breach the Terms or Community Guidelines. The Community Guidelines describe a written warning with reasons, possible suspension or termination after more than two warnings, and a possibility to dispute.
Can you share a SoundCloud account?
The Help Center advises against sharing access, even with people you trust, because shared access leaves the account open to changes or deletion without your consent. The Terms of Use also keep you responsible for all activity under your credentials and bar using someone else's account without their express permission.
Can you sell a SoundCloud account?
No. The Terms of Use bar selling or transferring an account, or offering to, without SoundCloud's prior written approval. The Help Center says that if SoundCloud receives reports of an attempted sale, the account is terminated immediately without prior notice.
Why was my SoundCloud account banned or deleted?
SoundCloud's pages name several causes: a breach of the Terms or Community Guidelines, more than two copyright strikes, abnormal streaming activity on SoundCloud for Artists, deletion by you, or deletion by someone who got into the account. Check your email and SoundCloud messages first, then use the AI agent to open a ticket.
How do I recover or reactivate my SoundCloud account?
It depends on the cause. For a frozen account, read your email and SoundCloud messages and contact the AI agent. For a hacked or deleted one, contact Support through the chatbot. After a suspension or termination, the Community Guidelines promise reasons and the possibility to dispute, not reinstatement.
